Safety & Security

Make photocopies of every important document you'll be carrying -- tickets, driver's license, credit cards, etc. Carry one copy with you (not with the originals) and leave a copy at home. These copies can be lifesavers if you lose the originals.

Keep a list of toll-free phone numbers for all of your credit and bank cards in case you have to cancel them or if you need to find an ATM to use them.

If you carry cash, split it up and carry it in several places such as a zipped pocket or wallet.

Place a card with your name, phone number and address inside luggage in case the outside tag is lost.

Remove old airline destination tags to prevent bags being lost.

When staying in a hotel always use the manual lock inside, in case the hotel double books the room by accident and issues keys for the same room to another guest.

Be sure to review the fire escape routes after checking into your hotel room.

If traveling alone on public transportation wear headphones and sunglasses to prevent being approached by thieves.

Make Itenerary: The key to a successful trip is organization. Create a trip itenerary and divide it by date and time of day.

Medical Advice

1. Bring along basic medical supplies such as aspirin, neosporin and band aids just in case. Some stomach relieving medicine may help as the food is plenty and may be upsetting to the stomach's of some passengers. The ship's nurse offers these supplies and more but with a hefty price tag.

2. Beware your not immune to sea sickness. The ship's nurse does offer free medicine but most wear a patch that goes behind the ear to eleviate the motion sickness.

3. Food poising is sometimes common unfortunately. Stay calm, tell the ship's nurse who may offer medicine again at a steep price but at least it's documented and they can take precautionary steps to keep others from getting sick as well.

4. If you have any special needs be sure to bring it to the attention of your cabin hostess so they can accommodate for your requests.
